Due to the withdrawal of funding by Arts Council East (ACE), The Norwich Puppet Theatre, venue of all Laughing Monkey stage productions to date, is facing closure if an appeal to ACE fails and they can not raise the necessary £60,000 from elsewhere. The Puppet Theatre is just one of several organisations which is facing cutbacks across the arts and on Saturday January 19th 2008, a march through Norwich was organised, protesting against the cuts.
